  • What type of application can be submitted under this eservice?

    The following applications can be submitted under this eservice:

    1. Additions and alterations to free standing structures involving GFA <120sqm (including Outdoor Refreshment Area).
    2. Additions and alterations to existing buildings (excluding landed residential houses).
    3. Additions and alterations to existing landed house.
    4. Amendment to additions and alterations to free standing structures involving GFA <120sqm (including Outdoor Refreshment Area).
    5. Amendment to additions and alterations to existing buildings (excluding landed residential houses).
    6. Amendment to additions and alterations to existing landed house.
    7. Permission to demolish existing building.
    8. Permission to carry out earthworks, engineering, mining or other operation in, on, over or under land.

    Who can apply?

    (1) For Layman Submission
    Application type such as additions and alterations to existing landed dwelling house e.g. detached house, linked house, semi-detached house or terrace house.
    If the applicant is not the owner, he must obtain owner's consent and declare in the application.

    (2) For Qualified Person (QP) Submission
    All application types, except paragraph(1) of the above. If the applicant is not the owner, he must obtain the owner's consent and declare in the application.


    What are the information that must be provided when making the submission?

    You need to provide us with the following information:
    • Site Address - Building Name, Road Name, House/Block Number, Postal Code, Lot Number, MK/TS Number
    • Site Details - Additional Gross Floor Area proposed, Plot Ratio, Building Height, etc.
    • Applicant Particulars - Name, Citizenship, Address, Email , Telephone No, etc.
    • Owner Particulars - Name, Citizenship, Address, Telephone No, Fax No
    • and submit any supporting documents (electronically) if any.

    What is the processing fee involved?

    The processing fee payable depends on the type of planning application. For more details, please refer to the Fees Schedule. All fees payable are subject to GST.

    What are the payment modes available?

    The processing fee may be paid via electronic modes :credit cards (Visa/MasterCard/American Express), e-Nets or cheque.

    Cheques should be crossed and made payable to "Urban Redevelopment Authority" and reach URA within 2 working days from the date of submission.

    Remember to indicate the Transaction Reference Number on the back of the cheque.

    Will the fee be refunded if my application is unsuccessful or withdrawn?

    No.

    How soon can I expect a decision?

    URA will evaluate each Development Application in detail and in most cases, you can expect a reply within 4 weeks from the date your payment for the application has been received.
