An Outline Application is a broad proposal that allows you to test out a proposed land use, plot ratio or building height of a property before deciding if you want to proceed with a formal application.
Who can apply?
- Property owners
- Prospective buyer (with existing owner’s consent)
- Property developers
When should I submit an Outline Application?
You should only submit an Outline Application for additions and alterations or new erection of buildings to test your proposed development if you know that the:
- Proposed intensity or height is beyond approved control parameters
- Proposed development does not conform with intended Master Plan land uses
How much is the application fee?
The Outline Application fee is 50% of the Development Application fee of the formal submission.
The Outline Application fee cannot be used to offset the application fee when you submit the formal Development Application for planning permission approval.
